eBooks

I had an epiphany about 13 years ago pertaining to my photography. Rather than focusing on single images to tell stories, I would capture as many unique visual elements of a  site as possible. Each photograph should be potent in its own right, yet brought together as a group elevated the experience.  These groupings would then then be brought together into themed collectives, which could be shared with people as eBooks.

My hope with all these eBooks is to inspire exploration, spark some curiosity, not letting the unknown deter from experiencing life’s possibilities up close. Was a pleasure capturing these moments; it’s wonderful having this medium to share them.

Apple Books is the original home for my ebooks. These eBooks range btw nearly 100 pages to upwards of lil over 500 pages. They’re also heavy in terms of virtual weight (dense with high resolution images vs text). Full size covers a lot of ground in terms of content, lots of bang for the buck.

Etsy contains what I call economy size eBooks. Due to restrictions beyond my control there is a 20mb limitation to what can be sold as a digital download. So this economy size eBook is 21 pages long, with 16 pages of lower resolution best of imaging content, priced accordingly.

Amazon also contains what I call economy size eBooks. Due to certain restrictions beyond my control I’ve also limited page length of these books to 21 pages. Otherwise there are 16 pages of high resolution best of imaging content, priced accordingly.

NYC Days | 5 Volumes

Captured moments visiting a variety of sites throughout the boroughs of Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, and Manhattan. Bridge walks, diverse neighborhoods, historical locations, architectural delights, the list could go on and on. These ‘day’ wanderings around the city took place mainly between 2011 and 2019. I’d done some sporadically since, but my literal and figurative focus changed around 2020 towards other aspects of living in the city (Covid-19 certainly had an impact in this regard, let alone my work / life schedule).

ze Roof Apocalyptic Storm Moments | 7 Volumes

Whenever storms would arise in the city, I would always head indoors and go about my day. The idea of capturing moments during these events never occurred to me, until I happened upon the world of storm chasers. It seems there are folk from all over the world who travel to the American Midwest to experience up close epic cataclysmic storms. Absolutely surreal atmospheric gargantuan cloudscapes with lightning flashing, tornadoes spawning forth captured by either still or video cameras across country oriented backdrops. I wondered about the possibilities of such imaging within New York City; always seemed like plenty of storms during the Spring and Summer months, gotta be some possibilities, eh?

Well, after 84 shoots taken place between 2018 and 2025, I can heartily attest that yes, the Midwest didn’t have dibs on such occurrences. Ethereal ephemeral celestial magical like storms of assorted shapes and sizes I had witnessed up close, curtesy of my building’s rooftop, ze roof! Epic in scope, a pleasure indeed to share moments from this project.

NYC Nights | 12 Volumes

Back in 2013, sometime early spring, I finally realized a particular subject matter to focus my photographic skills upon. Something for me which was completely unknown, alien in every way, posing a challenge - capturing moments around New York City during the night. Not just after dark, but mainly nocturnal hours, when the city takes on another persona. Fewer people on the streets, locations murkier, light sources either bright enough or not, long exposures the norm, embracing logistics bounding across the city in search of mostly unfamiliar subjects and sites.

After 341 shoots taken between April 2013 and September 2025, I’d kinda gotten the hang of it. What a glorious and fulfilling project it had become, my goodness.

Southwestern Pennsylvania & Beyond | 3 Volumes

While living in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania from December 2010 through June 2011, I conducted a plethora of shoots across the region. A curiosity of this particular area brought me to a point where I truly embraced my inner photographic beast. Unleashed upon such a unique setting of nature and man was fun, scary, and invigorating during a difficult time. A pleasure to share the amazing wonders of Southwestern Pennsylvania and beyond.
