Who am I? Welp, it truly has been about the journey, the destination - to be determined. I remember from an early age having a desire deep within, to be creative. It was difficult to articulate, yet found myself expressing it so many different ways. Drawing, comedy, dancing, acting, writing, I was participating wherever I would, however I could. And this was all before puberty!
Anyways, eventually I discovered photography, courtesy of my sister, Helene. Finally found something to sink my teeth into, an expressive medium which made sense and allowed me to flourish. Over time, the technical aspect began to reach the heights my imagination aspired to. Everything was coming together, except for one thing - the people factor.
My naiveté with reality wasted to many years honestly. I wrongly assumed hard work, hunkering down to develop and cultivate photographic craft would springboard into success! Nope! The aforementioned goes without saying, as cliche as anything that can be typed. It’s about relationships, and befriending folk, and a host of intangibles that makes my head spin.
I’ve had my moments over the years with imaging projects of varying scope, complimented by periods of time so quiet just thinking about it hurts my ears. And now there’s A.I. to deal with, on top of everything else, good freaking grief. Yet, my skills, aptitude, desire, hunger, belief and vision remain un-compromised, unwavering. If I’m a fool, at least I’m honest with a resolve strengthened by years of seasoning and experience via challenges thru life.
Looking forward to collaborating with like minded folk, embracing endless creative possibilities.
